Welcome to Mt. Tam Guide Dogs Puppy Club

Mt. Tam Guide Dogs, located in Marin County, California, is a group of puppy raisers for Guide Dogs for the Blind. We volunteer our time to train and socialize guide dog puppies, preparing them to become a guide for someone who is visually impaired. During the one year that they are in our household, they learn basic obedience and good household manners, accompanying their raiser to places such as stores, work, and school.

We meet on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month, from 10:00-11:00 for new raisers and 11:00-12:00 for the regular meeting. We meet at Guide Dogs in San Rafael, or other places in Marin for socialization, training, and obedience exercises. Email us for specific time and location. We are from Marin County, S.F., and the East Bay.

Interested in becoming a puppy raiser? We are always looking for more people to join our club. Learn more in the FAQs page, Getting Involved, or Contact Us. You can also visit Guide Dogs for the Blind to learn more about the puppy raising program. You may want to attend one of our bi-monthly Saturday meetings to learn more and talk to our club leaders.

Thanks for visiting!
